Field Evidence: Real GPS Target, Real Excavation, Real Truffle
85% successful excavation rate and Tuber aestivum at all three preselected GPS targets.
We want customers to see evidence, not marketing lines. Videos and images on this page labelled real are genuine field recordings; illustrative images are marked separately.
In a real field test, Tuber aestivum was found at all three preselected GPS target locations.
Real field video
Three areas, three GPS targets, three findings
The test covered three different working areas. For each area the GPS target was set by TruffleMaps before going into the field.
The target locations were verified on site with the truffle dog Tokyo, and Tuber aestivum was found at all three targets.

How the test was run
Model → GPS → Field → Validation → Real finding
01
Model
TruffleMaps habitat analysis was run for three working areas.
02
GPS
One target point per area was set before the field visit.
03
Field
The team navigated to the preselected points by GPS.
04
Validation
Target locations were checked with the truffle dog Tokyo.
05
Real finding
Tuber aestivum was found at all three targets (3/3).
Field performance
What is the 85% successful excavation rate?
85%
Successful Excavation Rate
Targeted excavation results in TruffleMaps/TRUFON field work.
3/3
Single field test
Tuber aestivum at all three preselected GPS targets. This single test is a separate result.
What this metric measures — and what it does not
The 85% successful excavation rate is the share of excavations at targeted points in TruffleMaps/TRUFON field work that were successful.
It is not a habitat probability, AI accuracy or a forward-looking guarantee for every property. The habitat score is a separate indicator that expresses field priority.
How images are labelled
Real recordings vs illustrative images
Real field recordings carry the “Real field footage” label. Drawings that explain the product and workflow are labelled “Illustrative image” and are never presented as evidence.
